He-Man wears: Jacket - Dior Homme, Jeans - April 77, Shoes - Pierre Hardy

    1) Hipsters of the Universe – Well, at least He-Man’s finally got style. It’s a much better outfit than what Prince Adam used to cobble together. The above pic is from an absolutely incredible project by Adrian Reimann. Adrian has taken a bunch of classic Masters of the Universe characters and redesigned them wearing hipster clothing. Imagine Skeletor at a Justice concert or She-Ra shopping at H&M!

You can check all of Adrian’s redesigns over at Behance, complete with a clothing breakdown on each character. Personally I’m partial to Stratos sporting the American Apparel shirt and Teela looking like she’s straight out of a Zara display window; that said, the project as a whole may be my favourite redesign project ever.

Props to the always awesome Super Punch for the great link.

    2) You may have seen Doctor Doom, hitting the stand-up circuit in this previous post; he’s not giving up the dream yet! You can check out the good doctor channeling Gallagher here. Make sure to wear a poncho.

    3) While I’m on the subject of not giving up the dream, check out these 36 totally awesome skateboarders playing human Tetris, while skateboarding down a hill in San Francisco, at night with neon lights. If I could shake every one of their skateboardy hands, I certainly would.

    4) Merlotte’s the Sitcom:

I really like True Blood, but I have a feeling “At Merlotte’s” would be a great spin-off. Think Joey with vampires and you have a guaranteed Emmy. (via io9)

    5) The final link blew my mind into a thousand pieces this afternoon. What do you get when you take Patrick Stewart, give him a Shakespearean monologue and let him loose on Sesame Street? THIS AMAZING VIDEO!

    6) Oh and as a bonus, here is a followup to my last post about G.I. Joe. I forgot to include this incredible 60’s style GIJoe piece, however since then the artist has also created a great Cobra version! I think both of these pieces are really slick.

You can check out more from the artist, Dave Perillo (aka Montygog), here.
